Default The Lost Mtns or Dinosaur

I asked a while back about the Yampa Bench Road, in Dinosaur Nat. Monument. Well another spot I have driven past a million times is the Henery Mountains. Any one with any experience with the Henry's? Not looking to crawl rocks, just see some yonder. Thanks.

I've been to the Henry Mountains three times since 2009 with some friends. I have fond memories of pulling my gas tank to replace my fuel pump in a motel parking lot in Hanksville after free-wheeling down the mountain. I like the area myself and will probably go back again. The best route is from Moab/Elephant Hill through the middle of nowhere if you're not going alone. One thing I like about the area is there are few people which is a negative as well. I was just talking with a friend who went with us without any other trucks and she was reminding me of how scared she was when we were in the middle of nowhere and hadn't seen anyone for 6 hours.

Mine too Jon but toss two women into the mix and things change tenfold

The 100 degree temps didn't help the group temperment either!

That's no dookie! That's why I won't be bringing any for the forseeable future. Moving out and going forward. Gonna be buying my own house in the next few months. That's the way it goes I guess.

Sorry to hear that Jon but you seem to be dealing with it okay. Hope things work out and you end up better for your changes.
