Here is the end result from swamping and hydrolocking my jeep a couple months ago. Friday morning a rod finally let go on my way to work.

Oh man, that really bites. Sorry man.
It didn't let go right away? Or have you not driven it that much lately???
That sucks.
I routinely flog my little 4 banger but when it comes to hitting water puddles at high speed or driving thru deep water for fun, no thanks. Seen to many engines wiped out.
It was on the Cherokee. The rod bent when it hydro'ed, and it has had a slight knock since. It made it about 400 miles from the lock up until it threw the rod.
Don't have the budget to put another engine in it right now with the holidays coming up, and don't want to get fined/towed for it sitting, so I sold it Saturday. Sad to see it go, but at least I still have the Hummer to beat on.
Bummer!
