Was the snapped upper control arm the only carnage?????????

On hells revenge there was the snapped control arm, broken CV shaft, and a blown bead. On pritchett canyon a u joint cap fell off.

That broken control arm looks like a fun fix. Broken CV shaft doesn't sound like nearly as much fun. Least it sounds like you had a good time.
