Big cleanup run at Yankee Hill and some new fencing near the shooting area with the poser rock.

Got my new favorite powertool today and reduced a pile of tree branches bigger than my arm to firewood in less than an hour.

This is excellent too, used it to take the branches down in the first place https://www.amazon.com/Pruner-Branch...s%2C122&sr=8-5

Cool. That's a first for me - to see moose in this area.

For me - Cameron Pass (the meadow at the pass and down the west side) is the area closest to FoCo where I see moose.

The San Luis Valley put out this video about Dispersed Camping and I was surprised by the content. I thought it was going to be more of a how to, maybe some good tips, but unfortunately it's mostly about not being disgusting.

The only thing I would add is to dig out the fire ring before using it, when the ashes are piled high your fire sits too high in relation to the height of the rocks.

Nevermind couldn't get screenshot to load. About to have my first hurricane out here in GA, Idalia. The general population out here doesn't seem concerned yet, still water and essentials on the shelf at the grocery store. Reminds me of Colorado waiting fir a blizzard, a very I've heard this all before and I'll beleive it when I see it mentality. I'm about 45mi south of Savanah so shouldn't see much other than rain.

Got my OHV sticker in the mail today, they said it would be delayed this year due to printing issues so I've been carrying my receipt instead. They also included a booklet as they do every year with where the money went, and it's pretty cool.

    Yurt scandal.

"...owners Bron Austin Deal and Gregory Graves flooded their inboxes with 50% discount deals, people booked trips for this winter and next, expecting to stay in Never Summer Nordic’s 10 yurts and cabins in the State Forest State Park. Many now assume their money is gone. And Deal, 39, is facing charges of embezzling funds from the Gould Community Association where he served as a treasurer."

Minor trail damage, broke my spare tire mount backing up into a small boulder that ironically I couldn't see because of my spare tire. It made a bad sound but I couldn't find anything wrong at the moment and the jeep seemed fine so we carried on. I have a camera mounted to the third eye light and the footage from that point forward is unusually shaky. Turns out i cracked the mount and bent the frame a bit too. Should be easy enough to hammer back and weld up, but it also might be a good opportunity for an upgrade...

There's a solar eclipse heading our way - Oct 14...

Perhaps a reason to visit Moab?

Train hopping - Denver to Kremmling - with a guy that likes to sit atop the tail end engine. Some nice scenery through the front range tunnels.
