Got the house moved today! Started a little after 10am and finished up a little before 5pm. Nothing broken, yet. Tons of unpacking and organizing and settling in left to do, but I think I am going to make myself a large whiskey with a tad of coke and ice and relax on my new deck before I pass the hell out. I think I have earned at least that. Mmmm Whiskey

Been continuing to bust my butt on the new property. Walls have come down and drywall work is completed, electrical is done (for now), paint is done and new concrete got poured in the second half of the shop and the slab came out gorgeous. And the new driveway will be poured tomorrow! Just need to epoxy the floors of the first half of the shop and then we will be moving in!

Sneak peak at the new digs:

Slab is so pretty without any the joints cut into yet. I opted for saw cut joints so they would be smaller and cleaner and wouldn't want to stop wheels and casters when being run over. I will end up filing them with joint sealer before the floors get epoxy coated but still worth the extra money for less of a gap to fill. But I have to wait for the new floor to fully cure before i can coat it, so another 28 days of waiting...

Thanks! The new shop isn't that much bigger. Going from about 1800 sq ft to 2200 sqft.

Finally found a minute to take a couple photos. The first is the hand floated joints that were put into my new driveway. These are the most common joint in concrete that you see. About 1/2" wide and 1/2" deep with rounded edges.

Next is a photo of the saw joints I just had put into my new shop floor. They are about 3/16" wide and an 1.25" deep and the edges are square. They will literally fill in with epoxy when I coat the floors.

And this last photo turned out rotten. I must have been moving when I took it. But it is where the existing shop floor with hand floated joints meets my new slab. The difference is HUGE:

WooHoo progress! I can actually park and place heavy items on the new slab in the shop today! Friday I can fully use the new driveway and my new to me forklift should arrive. And the cleaning for the older shop floor has begun and epoxy should be covering it by this weekend!

Look'n great! I'm happy for you.

OCU (was that the ambulance's name?) will just fit in the high door of the shop?

Woohoo! New to me fork lift is purchased and should be delivered this afternoon out at the new property. Finally have a way to load to Longmont, and now, unload in Broomfield without moving a fork lift!!
