Yeah, if they go through with it maybe they'll throw a little retro styling to it.

Well where do I start? I got the pleasure of rescuing a Red-tailed prairie hawk Sunday morning. We noticed the hawk up in our elm tree Saturday at about 6 p.m. he was perched there for quite some time. So we kept a close eye on things when we let our small dog out

While we were playing dominoes later that evening we heard a loud noise next to our house. We went out to discover the hawk had landed on the metal trash can right side the dinning room window. I held one of hose free little flashlights from harbor freight on him and he just sat there. So we left the dog leash on the door knob to remind us to leash Sammie just in case. Sure enough the hawk was still there. So I called Birds of prey foundation to see what they thought? (Most of our photos were with our phones so and I am no very tech savvy so I can only post the photos from my camera). They called me back and asked me to send them some photos from my phone. She advised me that he was injured or we would not be able to get so close to him. They don't have a team to come out for it and depend on people to capture and bring the birds to them so they can help them. She instructed me on what to do.

The rescue was quite comical (my wife attempted to record it with her phone) but we did manage to catch him and put him in a dog kennel and drove him out to the facility). What a beautiful hawk.

I called Mark so that he could help and his son could check the hawk out.
(the middle photo is from my wife's phone sent to mine). Maybe I have figured it out?

He must have got hit by a car while he was foraging on road kill? He has head trauma and a broken wing. She said he has a 50/50 chance of recovering to the point he can be released back into the wild. I feel so blessed to be able to observe him for so long while I waited for them to call me back. (about a couple of hours)
