Sorry. for the outburst.

I have been working off and on a TJ here that had and electrical fire. Nothing serious, just melted the dash harness together. So I completely ripped the stock harness out and installed a good condition used one from a yard. Harness looked to be complete and unmolested, expect it seemed to have 3 extra connectors attached. Figured those were for accessories that my TJ didn't have, and were cut out of the original harness. Anywho, hooked it all back up correctly but still couldn't get it to turn over. Spent 3 days fighting it. Chasing each circuit separately, checking each fuse and/or relay. Finally chased the problem down to losing switched power somewhere within the 3 extra connectors. I bypassed the extra wiring and finally got the rig to start. Best guess is that the extra wiring on the new harness was a remote start setup. Hate I lost a lot of time, but am ecstatic that I got it running again.

Now to finish cleaning the wiring up, and I can finish fabrication and get this thing outta my shop!

Just returned from an incredible journey. I met with my biological family and learned I have 4 little sisters through mom and 1 more through dad who managed to track me down while I was in Nebraska. Still kinda shocked by the whole thing.

My 10 yr. old daughter, Annika made the first qualifying round to participate in the National Geography Bee (she rocks my world)! This email from the teacher explains where it goes from here:

"Dear Parents,
Your child has qualified to be in the National Geography Bee on Friday, January 30 at 9:15 in the gym. He or she qualified last week by being in the top 10 on the 9 page, 84 questions qualifying written test. (It turned out to be the top 13, with a 4-way tie for the last spot!) It was a very challenging test, so they should all be very proud to have gotten this far!
You are welcome to attend this event next week. It will be set up much like today's spelling bee. The winner from our school will then be given an hour-long written test. Results from this test will be announced in April. If his or her score is in the top 50 from the state of Colorado, he or she will go to the State Bee in Denver!! The winners from each state then advance to the National Bee in Washington, D.C.
How exciting!!"

Fingers and toes crossed for her, but I'm proud either way!
