Nice James, do you think it will be ready for a anniversary run? When we get to have one?

I hope it will be ready for easy cruising in June...hopefully...Rate of progress is as much budget limited as anything...This brake work has eaten into the budget such that new 16" rims and good AT tires may not happen for a while (probably in a year or two when I do the leaf springs etc). Trying to find a cheap pair of decent looking 15s (hopefully with usable tires) on CL/FB but its difficult right now. It probably won't have functional windshield wipers either for a while. But working on the 3 S's...it starts, hopefully it will stop after all this brake work, and I think steering is ok for now. And guess I will have to accept more oil leaking than I would like.

Oh James, since it seems you might have some time on your hands...

I see Willys listed in the text. MBBE they have your wheels (and then some)?

We had between 6 and 8 inches this morning, and it continued to snow throughout the morning. I'm glad I didn't have to dig my car out this morning, but bummed about missing some good spring ski opportunities.

Sometimes when bad things happen, they happen to be "not so bad". (or said another way - it could have been worse, much worse)

Wow! I think Tj had a similar experience with his 4-runner right after we got ran the Rim Rocker trail a couple years ago. I'm really glad things weren't worse.

For those interested in the Denver to Grand Junction rail route - as seen by a train-hopper:

`bummer that he starts from Denver at 2:30am - we miss all of the front range and most of Mofatt Tunnel - BUT we do get a nice view of Gore Canyon west of Kremmling.

Took the train to Glenwood Springs for a stay at the Hotel Colorado a year or two ago. Nice scenic ride and a pleasure to actually be able to watch the surroundings instead of the road.

I visited Garmin.com just now and one of their rotating banner backgrounds caught my eye. Yep - Colorado - Saint Catherine's Chapel on the Rock.

    Scenic, rugged backcountry grass strip.

A short, nice vid of landing and take-off:

Where is this you say? About 70 miles east of McCall ID
