When I seen this one I picked it up..
Easy to carry and uses a small propane bottle..

A couple nights ago some of my friends put my truck on CL as a joke. I ended up waking up to 4 texts and later got a couple more and a call. They also put another friends Suburban on CL. I thought it was hilarious my other friend was a little burnt about it and didn't find it as funny as I did.

Also some good news I have received multiple job offers for this summer for various parks and rec jobs in cities around me. I also got an offer on a senior park ranger job for Bloomfield.

Roh, roh...We got a visit from the Forest Service today. Apparently a neighbor complained about us as well as other neighbors in our hood for feeding the deer. He was really cool about it and he educated us a lot. He also only issued us a warning (not a ticket - although he could have).
He also commented about the number of bird feeders we have on our property... He said the bears are coming out now and if they become a problem, we will be forced to take them down. (Apparently bears love bird feeders...)
Out of curiosity, we asked him about the elk. He said that since we live in an unincorporated area, we could shoot them if they come our property but would have to do so from our roof to insure the projectile doesn't leave the ground. (Thanks, but we're not about to shoot or kill anything).
I have a feeling some of our "named" regulars will stick around anyways (even though we can't offer "free food" anymore. I think "Scarlet" will be back to deliver more fawn under our deck. She's looking a little "hefty"!

So answer THIS if you can... If it is not allowed to feed the deer in our
unincorporated area, then why are the local stores allowed to sell the food and the packaging on the food explains how healthy it is for the deer? The buyer with cash in pocket is being succored into something that could potentially cause them fines... as well as hurt the deer unintentionally.

Curious that you received a tip on how to safely reduce the herd... That might come into good use for the turkey run!

I suspect the complaining neighbors wouldn't be too happy about you shooting elk on your property!
