Default 5th Annual Anniversary Run - Food Planning Thread

For everyone who has signed up to do the Anniversary run (as a "yes" or a "maybe"), or if you plan to RSVP but just haven't done it yet, PLEASE go back and edit your RSVP to include the number of people in your party IE: (3). This will help us to determine what we need to make the lunch part of the day the best it can be.

Then come back to this thread and post up what you plan to bring. I'll start keeping a spreadsheet and update this thread with the results as people post. If you have special dietary needs, you may want to consider bringing your own lunch, but you could still bring something to share with the rest.

The following are only suggestions. Feel free to bring whatever you want! Please indicate HOW MANY or HOW MUCH of each item you will bring. IE: "12 hotdogs/12 Pack Pepsi/24 single-serve-chips".

    Hamburger patties
    Hotdogs
    Bratts
    Chicken (wings/breasts/legs)
    Hamburger/hotdog buns
    Chips
    Veggies
    Hot dish
Salad (potato salad, pasta salad etc.)
Condiments (mustard, ketchup, mayo, salt pepper, pickles, hot sauce, BBQ sauce etc.)
    Cheese
    Soda/Juice/water
    Cookies/brownies/cake/candy or other dessert
    Paper plates
Paper towels (napkins blow away too easy)
    Plastic utensils
    Tables
Grills (if you bring a grill, we'll assume you'll also bring the cooking utensils needed unless you post otherwise...)
    Charcoal
    Garbage bags
Shade tents (If you bring one, make sure to stake it down really well. Last year we had one get picked up by the wind and almost nail someone in the back of the head. It took several of us to get it dismantled)

Thanks to everyone in advance. Whatever you might bring will be appreciated by all. If you can't bring a food item, perhaps you could volunteer to help with the grilling etc.

Thanks, Brad. and Rick. So far, we have 8 hamburgers and enough chips to choke a horse!!! Let's keep adding to it!

From my tally so far, there are 27 "yes" and 16 "maybe" in attendance... We have a long way to go.

We might want to consider propane grills instead of charcoal due to such dry conditions. There may be restrictions. I have a folding grill that will accomadate probably 8/10 burgers & at least 8 dogs at a time.

Please bring it if you will. I also have a 2-burner propane stove I could bring for warming up hot dishes if needed.

If restrictions are in place I can bring mine also, but prefer the charcoal cuz it could fit probably 25 burgers on it

I just changed to a "yes". I plan to bring my propane stove and a big batch of sloppy joes + buns (enough for about 18 sandwiches). I'll probably bring some more stuff too, but will wait to see what others post. If you are able to bring something to share, please post up sooner than later. It's OK if you change your mind and decide to bring something different. Just post up.

I'll bring family size buckets of potato salad, cole slaw and macaroni salad. Maybe some brats and hot links too, but will wait on assigning an amount to that

My friends... we have to step this up or we're going to have a hungry mob on China Wall!!! Pick an item from the suggested list in the first post, or decide on something different and post up how much you'll bring. It doesn't have to be a lot. Just enough to be willing to share. This run typically has the biggest turnout for this group and it's a lot of fun. We're going to need a lot more involvement if we expect the same or similar success as previous years.

My wife will make some of her queso if we have a way to warm it up. Will bring package of hot links also. Also have propane grill if needed. Was going to wait until sure of what to bring so if need be I can bring something else.
