    Default Alpine Loop May 20th(Cinnamon and Engineer Passes)



    Figured I'd put something up here since folks are beginning to talk about the area. We intended to just go over Cinnamon pass and hike Handies, but since the snow was too much up top, we drove the whole thing. Its all about lift and tires, don't really need 4x4 IMO.

    The very beginning, right out of Silverton

    This is the way we hiked

    Breakfast and dishwashing on the hood. Grease is a ***** to clean off when it's frozen....

    I'm really not good at taking "action" shots. Seems easy for everyone else to do. Mine just look super mild

    Hooray for Ouray! A buddy of mine moved to Durango, Ryan with the green JK, in case you wheel with him. Well, he posted some pics of his Alpine Loop trip and I've been wanting to head down there since, thanks for sharing the pics!

    Haven't noticed a green JK around- but needless to say around here you could spit and hit a jeep, toyota or subaru. I looked for his trip report but couldn't find it. Ironically enough, I have no wheeling buddies down here. Kinda tough when you live outside of town and work a 9-5 out of a company vehicle.

    I'll be in telluride this weekend, so I'll look into black bear and imogene. I think they might be the only/last 2 that are still closed.
