Yeah an SAS would be nice, but I think this Trooper is just about done, regear the T-case and lockers are about the last big things I have left on my wishlist. I want to find a short wheel base two door and put full width axles under it, and a 4.3 Vortec or 350 up front to make a monster crawler. This one I am going for more of an Overlander rig so I like the drive ability of the IFS.

P.S. I am in the market for one more wheel and tire, 16 x 10 with 4" backspacing steel D-window 6 on 5.5 with the larger center bore (Toyota size not the smaller Chevy bore). 4wheelparts has then new for $96 with free shipping so if anybody has one laying around let me know. Don't care what color or if the paint is bad going to be red anyways as long as it had no damage. I am looking to match the ATMs better then the MT ATZ and use that one as the spare, looking for a more tradition AT tire, or preferably another ATM. I will need something with like 40-60% tread left to match what I got. Let me know if anyone has something laying around.

Call me tomorrow and remind me to go look in the bed of the Comanche. I think I've got a D window wheel in there, just not sure on width. I am pretty sure it's a 15"er though. Jonathan 303-968-7156

After this I'm low on cash looking to be a few weeks out. Finding out this is not a very common size, at least in the used market so it would be great if you have one.

    Hmmmmmmm, more flex shots.

Be careful with that farm jack, those things are dangerous!

Maybe you noticed on the rear: As the leaf springs flatten out, the tire will move toward the back. Unload the leafs, the tire will move toward the front. This is something to keep in mind when you start checking for clearance.

Looks cool. Do you think you will have to beef up your steering system to accommodate the larger tires?

Seemed alright going around my street, the only easy upgrade for it are the hd tie rods from Indy4x but most guys say they haven't done anything and wheel with no issues. I want to add a stabilizer.

Well did all the trimming I and banging I could but still rubs at full lock. It is rubbing on the bottom corner of the foot wells so I have order a 1" body lift hopefully saving me from having to cut into my foot wells, and potentially from any trimming in the rear!

This is wear the rubbing is happening

I have some clean up work left but I think it won't be to bad I am hoping to be able to put the plastic liner back to cover most of this up.

I'm gonna wait until after the BL and see if I need to trim the fender anymore, so it should be trail test time soon !

Finally some good luck. Just picked up 4 Dynapros with 80%left for $400 and got them and one of my old ATMs mounted for $45. So now I have a full set, a spare and two unmounted matching tires. Can't wait for the body lift to get here gonna hold off on anymore trimming until they is on.

that lip in the red is my foot well so anything I cut out I would have to patch so I am hoping with the BL and more hammer work I can get them to clear.

I think I just ordered the last of my parts for upgrades, that's a good feeling. With my bigger brakes and cb parts coming and my body lift sitting on the floor in my office I think I just need to get everything put on and I should be ready to rock.....until I think of something else.

All my boxes from rockauto.com showed up today so I am ready for a long weekend of wrenching . Upgrading my brakes to the bigger ones from a new trooper, replacing boots on two CVs (one for on the vehicle and one is an extra), installing my CB setup, and my body lift. If I get it all done then the only thing left will be to weld up the diff.
