Default Cumberland-Washoe Gulch to Sheridan Hill 271.1

Ran the start of Cumberland up to the Washoe Gulch turn off, then the plan was to head up toward Yankee Hill to connect with the 271.1 that heads over toward Sheridan Hill(the Cumberland Gulch side). Had lunch at the old house site up Washoe, then proceeded over to 271.1F to see if it was open yet. Open until the tree we found across the road, which was the perfect time to use the winch. Got it moved and headed thru more snow drifts and various downed small trees and limbs and finally made it to where others had stopped from the other side due to the drift. We made it thru to the 175/271/772 intersection, then headed to York Gulch and into Idaho Springs for the boy's karate class. Was an absolute blast, for Dad too.

The downed trees this year could change a lot of early season trails. The lack of snow also scares me.

Nice work moving that tree so that others without a winch could enjoy all the same. Thanks for the pics!

Thanks for helping to keep the trails cleaned up and managable for all without winches. The trail looks beautiful. I cannot wait to enjoy.

Thanks for the work. I ran Cumberland to 271.1 today. Looks like F has a lot more snow than I encountered. First war wounds on my new toy occurred today. Nothing major and to be expected.
Very windy and cold on top!

It was warm and not windy in Longmont. You could have driven six blocks south and helped me rebuild my shed.

Next time you get a yen to go out solo on a Saturday, give me a holler.

Nice job! And it looks like you had a great time. Thank you for moving some trees that will make a lot of people with out the right equipment get through.
