Once upon a time, 20 years ago, I had an '87 4Runner with lots of hail dents. Had a blast with that thing. Drove it to Alaska while in the Army and had a lot of fun wheelin' it up there. Got out of the Army and came back to Colorado and found a job that had me driving 500-750 miles per week. Needless to say the 4Runner used way too much gas so I traded it for a Geo Metro. Great on the gas but it didn't wheel very well. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. I finally had the ability to buy another 4x4 to have fun with and get to work when the roads are bad. I found a nice yellow '00 Jeep Wrangler TJ with the options I wanted and a few I hoped for. It has 6cyl, AC, ABS, Cruise, lifted with 33's, 9k winch, CB, Hi-lift, hard-top, soft-top & off-road lights. I have done no wheelin' recently. Way back in the day I did a few trails here in Colorado: Medano, Engineer, Hancock & some others that I don't remember. Nothing too major as it was my only vehicle.
I look forward to hitting some trails this summer, I just don't know how eager my wife is to hit the trails with me.
So now it is time for a nice dumping of snow so I can have some fun.
Here are a couple of pictures. I don't have any action shots, yet.
