Hi,
I have been wheeling since 97 when I started playing around in my BroncoII. It didnt take me long to upgrade it but it wasnt good enough so in 98 I started building my own Blazer, full size 77. Nicely equipped. Sold it and since then I had quite a few 4x4s I built.
I currently have a 75 Blazer with a 400 engine and a T350 tranny/205 transfer case (was a 4 speed manual). Now has 4" lift and 35 BFGATs. Limited slip F/R with 3.42 gearing. Its more of a toy to play around town but capable off road as well.
Other is having tranny problems but is a very unusual rig. Its a 58 Chevy Apache pick up. I put it on an 85 Blazer frame and has an 84 6.2 turbo diesel. It has a 700R4/208 but wont shift into any gear. Axles are 3/4 ton 4.56 gears and F/R ARB lockers. Onboard air, dual batteries, bumper mounted winch, etc, forgetting half what it has. Since its having problems and I have a spare manual tranny I was thinking about going a different direction. Just put everything on a tube chassy. Dunno what Im going to do yet for sure.
Also have a few older ATVs, 95 and 99 Polaris 425 4x4, are a blast in the mountains.
Anyway, looking forward to meeting up with a group to go wheeling again, its been a while.
