Default Powder coat or spray pain? (Ugly Audi rims)

my buddy and I were thining about changing out rims on the audi. That's when I remembered I painted my jeeps rims and it changed the look of the whole thing.. figured maybe instead of replacing rims, i could spray pain them or powder coat them.

so, any thoughts on what's better?

I actually painted them Gun Metal Metallic and so far so good. 2 coats of the paint and 2 coats of clear.

how long do you think it will look pretty? Should I powder coat?

of course took each wheel off, taped the tire off, took center cap off etc.

Had the car detailed at Waterway right before the job and made sure it's clean. Didnt want to sand down as it would be too permanent without having a mind made up.

If you used the Duplicolor wheel paint, and did a good job with prep, they'll hold well.

I used the wheel paint on my tank skid and trailer hitch before I installed them. The only spots that are missing paint, have gouges in the steel.
