    Default Coot Articulating ATV 4wd

I have had this for about 2 years. Worked out a deal on a trade with a guy for some truck parts at the time and thought I might do something with it eventually. In anticipation of our move soon, it really should go to a new home.

This is known as a Coot. Made in the early-mid 1970's and are fulltime 4wd. The differentials are "locked" so only one wheel needs traction to continue forward movement. They run on a simple Kohler engine (similar to a lawn mower). I believe this is a 12hp. Engine currently doesn't run. Haven't even tried. Can easily be replaced with 9hp-15hp range. They have a transmission that allows for different gears, and can go up to 30mph. They are also made to float. No rust-through on this one so no reason it shouldn't float! Bench seats that can seat up to 4 people or 2 people with the back as cargo.

Pics show another identical Coot articulating. Also, there are multiple options for wheels/tires as they just run a standard Jeep rim and can accept lots of different tires.

This particular model had 4-wheel steering, which is rare. It is currently disabled and only front steering, but all the parts seem to still be there to convert back to 4 wheel steer.

$950 firm for members. Delivery is possible if needed. Please give plenty of advance notice to view/purchase. Typically only available weekends.

i would love this thing Jeff! Unfortunately I think my $900 has a lot of other things waiting in line for it though. Still, i could definitely find reasons to put that to use!
