Those are funny Paul. I like Akita's to, we looked at an Akita mix when we were at the puppy rescue, but fell in love with Nico. She climbed into my wifes arms and fell asleep, we were done at that point.

Our past cats actually walked with us and our dogs up here. The first could only be harnessed with a leash, but our last cat walked off leash with the dogs. I will find those old pics and post up, not often you see a cat out for a walk with dogs in tow

These are the last pics of our last cat Bug-a-boo, this was 2 years ago after we put our last dog down, up here by the house. The pics of the dogs and cat together are on the other drive, will try to find some. The pics of Bug-a-boo snuggling our 100+ pound shepard are the greatest!

I think I've just about always had a cat. I had one that I named Charlie (a girl cat) that would go with me everywhere. No leash needed. She was a Calico and the smartest animal on the planet.

We are currently "potty-training" Bella to use the toilet instead of a litter box. I really hope this works... the process is a bit of a mess, but the pay-off will be great!

    Bug-a-boo is a doll!!!

Bugs had to be put down pretty close to after that pic was taken. He was an indoor/outdoor cat and one night he did not come in for the night. A day later(we were frantic) he showed back up with his tongue sticking out and a large sore on it. He would not come to me, and disappeared for another 2 days. When he was at the door again I grabbed him up and we took him in to the vet immediately, at this time he really stunk bad like death. His tongue was bitten by something and he had already succumbed to gangrene in his mouth on top of infection. We opted to put him down rather than remove tongue and hope for the best with antibiotics. This was the first death our kids have been thru, they still say they see Bug-a-Boo's ghost here and there at home or on walks.
Jackie, when I was a child my aunt had a Siamese cat that was toilet trained, it is one of the coolest things I have seen. The cat guy on TV is opposed to the practice, but I figure to each their own. Not having to deal with a litter box...priceless!!

Absolutely agree about litter boxes. I hate them. Caught a video of Chief playing with his ball. He is always tuckered out by the time I get the camera out there but got a little.

Wife also actually got a pic of all 3 girls together

We got this kit at PETCO called the "Litter Kwitter". It came with everything you need and an instuctional DVD that showed cats doing their business in a toilet. My husband someone whose cat actually learned how to flush after use!

My poor Rotty had a rough day yesterday. He is having trouble breathing, took him to vet and he has a sinus infection and got put on antibiotics. Then last night we were in backyard working on wife's truck and a skunk got in the yard, needless to say he went after it and got sprayed. Looking into it more found out skunk spray in the eyes can cause blindness for 2 days, thank god he seems fine. Wife made a solution of peroxide, baking soda and something else to clean him up.

You got that right! I know my cat's paws are cleaner (no stomping around in a filthy litter box) therefore my whole house is cleaner.

We're almost there... Just a small amount of litter for her to scratch at. She likes to scratch some into the hole before she does her business, but that's OK. That will slowly be eliminated.

    Sorry, Bella...had to do it...!

If there is a heaven for dogs, this is what it looks like: Green grass, warm sun, and unconditional love...

    Awesome picture, Adam!
