Cool who's wife drives a grand?

I see loads of wranglers and other rigs which is really cool but I was wondering how many grand cherokees are actually around all the members. Especially lifted ones. I know jessy05lj's wife has a lifted 04.. and if I'm not mistaken there are 3 registered.. am I really the only ZJ on here?

Mike (WJJEEPER) has one, but he moved to Missouri (correct if wrong). I saw a nice one on 33's today gettin on 285. If I had the money and needed another comfortable rig, I'd check those out. Built up they look pretty sweet.

So I guess it's LaDawn's wife that drives the Cherokee!

I can joke because the streets and malls of suburbia are filled with 4Runners like mine which has been labeled a "chick's car" by many!

    Yeah, just giving you grief..

I had to go out and look. It's a Laredo. I actually bought it from my SO, LaDawn, as she was selling it about the same time I was looking for a non pick up DD. Didn't get a huge deal on it as she is such a capitalist....Nice, well maintained rig (I should know. I have done the maintenance on it...) and works for what I need it to. I wanted (and still do) a Tacoma, but the $$ aren't there. This is probably the 4th or 5th Jeep I have owned, all with the Wagoneer/Cherokee/XJ style bodies. Best of the bunch was a 74 Cherokee with the V8, actual frame, Dana 44 front and rear, etc. Last was a 1991 Cherokee.

I haven't done anything to this one, nor do I plan to. I wanted to stay away from the pick up stuff so that no one asks me to help move them, or be able to pick up 50 sheets of drywall...

Bruce (EldoradoFJ) and a couple of folks are planning on a front axle R&R day coming up soon. Since the Yota arrangement is a bit different than a Dana, it might be worthwhile connecting with these guys when they do this. Not brain surgery, but there are some basic weird differences. One time watching this and you will be pretty dialed into the Yota front axles. Rears are so close to a Ford 9" as to make no difference....just a smaller version.

About the only "speciality" tool you need is the 54mm hub nut socket.

I feel that pain too by wheeling a vehicle made for the Orkin guys to drive around to houses & kill bugs

I like seeing the "Grands" built up like yours & getting wheeled

There's a store by i70 and monaco its called something specialists I think and they have those and axle shafts in stock. You would have to look up the name I can't remember and I'm at work
