    Default Test my website speed.

I put together a slideshow for my website, here is where you can test it:

    http://www.ranetworks.net/testweb/

It should start as soon as it has 5 seconds of video buffered. Let me know if you have any trouble loading it and if so what type of internet you have. This will not exactly work well on dialup of course.

5 seconds to load the page initially
2 seconds to load it cached

20ish seconds to see the video start up

    30Mb Comcast Cable Internet.

    Looks really good!

    Safari....on an IPad??

Not surprising actually. Doesn't even say you need the flash plugin? I think you have to have a special app to get flash to work. IPad didn't support it initially.

See if you can get CloudBrowse. This will run FireFox on your IPad. Other than that I don't know if Safari supports Flash on the IPad or not.

This could also be helpful from people who comment:

Failed to mention that it is on my laptop with a low wireless connection.

I ran mine again....it varies a lot but I have gotten up to 20Mb/s before.

Low wireless could explain that. Cool.

No Flash on an iPad, Skyfire apparently supports it but I don't see any need for it myself. A message saying it's required which would be a good idea. A better idea would be to eliminate the need and go with html5 since it's what will be used in the not too distant future.

Aaron has a fast connection but you're seeing faster times? Delete you cache and see whst it does.

I didn't have it cached at all. It was just after I uploaded it to my server.

There should be a message, but I'll have to check. And I just found out that there is an embed method which will automatically pick ether Flash or HTML5 based on what you are running. I will update it to that method.

Nope, sorry. It took about 90 seconds to load and then gave be this, GoogReader does not support that file anyway. My connection is supposed to be as fast as Aarons but is closer to 20MBPS than 30.

    Sideways? Tilt you computer.

Chris - that's odd - this method was supposed to load in HTML5 supported browsers if it failed in Flash.

Can anyone else test it on HTML5 browsers?

I guess I don't really care if it doesn't work on an IPad. If you want to view it, get a real computer.
