Won some cheap Chinese off road lights from AliExpress. Finally got around to installing them.
Tried em out in the dark just now, they really blast light out. Will see if the hold up or not over time.

Installed the new to me Warn Zeon 10s Platinum on the JK. Had to mod my bumper a little.
I got this bumper from TnT, it is one of the originals that was on one of there rigs. I had to drill some new mounting holes, others were close so I welded them in.
For some reason the hole for the fair lead was huge and off center.
Cut some plates to fill it in.
Just need to install the synthetic rope.
Everything is controlled from the wireless remote, even accessory lights.
Nice work on the bumper.
the best repair is one you don’t know was done...

Since the little blue shop truck is going to get to actually see some trail time soon, I figured it should get a little maintenance. First up, steering revamp to clean up.the problematic hydraulic assist. Machined a custom double sided steering arm since I couldn't find anyone who produces them anymore, to move the ram behind the axle to free up some room. Then did a "5th stud" mod to make sure the new arm won't be removing itself. Coming out decently.
Now I just gotta finish up the other side, make an axle side ram mount, paint everything, and reinstall everything. Hope to get through everything except the reassembly, tonight.
I mounted a flip up license plate bracket Tom was kind enough to give me. Even went out of his way to delivery it to me
Had to drill and tap a couple of holes in my fairlead, then slightly relocate the flip up section and once done it perfectly wraps around my flat link.
I'd be concerned that at an extreme angle your rope will hit the plate and get damaged. I am pretty sure those are designed to go behind the fairlead.
My fairlead is a recess mount, getting it behind wouldn't have been practical. It tilts up about 45 degrees, and it's just a philips screwdriver to remove if I end up pulling at more of an angle than that.
I see the recess now. I plan on making one that gets clamped between the fairlead and the flatlink.

Crazy- You call me crazy, but you wouldn't know crazy if Charles Manson was eating Fruit Loops on your front porch. Suiciadl tendancies- intatutionalized
My fix for a front license plate mount. Cut a slot in a piece of square stock, welded on a piece of angle to attach plate to. Glued some rubber pad to it to keep things from scratching. Clamp unit between Flat Link and fair-lead. I probably won't run it much as it sticks way out but I can have in the vehicle and play dumb if I ever get asked by the police. I might make a tether just in case the line goes slack but there is not much chance of that.
I took the JKUR out on Moody Hill last weekend and about 1/2 way through the trip noticed the electronic sway bar disconnect was not working properly. I new this day was coming as it is a typical problem. Water gets inside the housing causing poor shifting. I first took out the actuator to make sure it was functioning properly, about a cup of water came out when I separated it from the housing. I then removed the sway bar and split the case. It wasn't as bad as I expected but still definitely needed some attention. Most of it cleaned up with just some brake cleaner and a rag. Put it all back together with copious amounts of grease and it now works as it should.
One of my shocks was leaking oil so I decided to rebuild them today. Unfortunately I found some damaged parts.
