Doesn't really fit in the 4x4 category but really cool none the less.

can we stick a cannon on top ?
I think i recall seeing footage of a US experiment vehicle in the past that had the same sort of movement method. Didnt go anywhere though. It is still interesting!
I've seen that before....I want to say I've also seen it in a James Bond film.

That reminded me of the Fordson Snow Motor video, which I think was posted on here a while back.
thats it Rob! I knew I had seen it before!!
Dang... at first I thought it was an amphibious vehicle 'cause of the screw-drive dealies... but then; DANG! Most-terrain vehicle!
Oh, and "OUCH" at :42 or so

"Um...Dimitri...I would really appreciate it if you would refrain from tailgating me. Dimitri??? Dimitraaaaaaaaaagggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!! *gurgle*
Yeah, I guess that is kinda cute...novel , at any rate, if a little screwed up. I liked Rob's Fordson video a bit more as it seemed to be the original concept rig.
For a Russian off road machine, I have always like the Tatras. With 6-8 wheel drive, all locked up and with 4 wheel steering(all in the front) you can do quite a lot with them. Not to mention that they use them a lot as chase rigs for Dakar. Google Tatra trials to see more of these wild rigs...
The Russians do create some interesting rigs to say the least as do the Icelanders.
This one is purdy cool talk about snow runs; The Aton-Impulse Viking
