Default TreadWright Guard Dogs with Kedge Grip Review

After days of reading reviews, and researching on these tires I ordered them on Saturday mainly thanks to BlackRubi's review so far! So far all of the negative things i have read are from nay-sayers who still think they are the same old style retreads.
    265/75/16 load range E.

I got them with the Kedge Grip, hence why i started a different thread. That way both threads can be used to compare the ones with Kedge and the ones without.

Multiple thumbs up for TreadWright's customer service. I forgot to add that I wanted MT/R or BFG mud sidewalls, e-mailed them with order number and they added it to the order. Turned out that they did not have any of those casings in stock and got a call from Joel to let me know that it may be weeks before they have any, so looks like i will be getting Michelin sidewalls. To Joel for calling and letting me know.

Hopefully will be getting these at the end of the week and will update once I receive them.

    Sweet! I have a convert.
Did you consider BFG A/T sidewalls? They may have those, and they're still a 3-ply sidewall.

Customer service there is awesome! Joel was a big help with all the questions I had.

Joel said the A/T's could take up to 3 weeks to get.

I really want to check out your tires when you get them Shayne. Even if they are mounted.
These are high up on my list for winter tires as it is hard to beat $440 for winter off road tires!!

I gotta say, for the 37" tires, 144 a tire is pretty awesome

I will probably never run another tire but Treadwright on any rig.

The wife's rig is a different story. It will probably rarely even see a moderately deep mud puddle, so no real need. But as far as the jeep goes...Treadwright.

I hate advertising for things on my car. The only time I ever advertise is when I really like something (hence, my FR4X4 stickers on my rear side glass and that's all the advertising on the rig). I'm SERIOUSLY considering slapping on the Treadwright sticker, that's how much I like them.

Was getting ready to head out and get some food and saw the FEDEX truck blocking the driveway.

So far these tires look great! Very impressed at how quick they got here.
Hoping to have them mounted today.

The shipping is crazy fast. Like I said in my post, I ordered on a Friday night, Monday was a holiday, and they were here on Thursday.
The Kedge looks good. How gritty is the surface?

Probably gonna be snagging a set of these when I get enough money to upgrade rim size. Since they dont have 33's in 15inch rim anymore, but have plenty of options in 16"

Those look great. Wait till you get them on a trail. Imagine how much more fun it'll be with those compared to your old tires.

Totally off-topic but what's the deal with the 67-72 Chevy truck in the garage?

Plus nice tires; love the MTRs! Any plans to do an axle swap on the front of that Exploder?

That was originally my first truck, that was supposed to be a project to work on with my dad, but we haven't had any money to get it running.

For the Explorer i plan on keeping it ifs.

So far these tires are great. They are loud until you hit about 60 mph then you can hardly hear them.
They ride and grip great, can't wait till some white stuff falls so i can see how the Kedge works.

I'm starting to think that there will be no white stuff this year.
Maybe we can get together and do a side by side comparison on snow/ice to see how much the kedge improves snow grip. I'm sure it does help, but I just didn't see much need for it in my application. I have a 3.7 mile drive to work and that's pretty much the only place I drive. If I get stuck in that distance, it was just meant to be.
