    Default Barbour Fork 8/6/10

Decided to get up a little higher in elevation today - since I've been back for a few days. Had to sight in a couple new toys too... (like how I misspelled Barbour???... lol. Chris, how do I edit that?)

Barbour Fork was just the ticket. We peeled the top off early this afternoon - put everything in the back - I had a hunch. We hit some crazy rain on I-70 near the buffalo overlook. Slapped the Jeep back together under a bridge... After the rain came we ran up the the bakery in Silver Plume for bread. (and to kill time) Back down to Idaho Springs and up to Barbour Fork. The trail is a little more washed out since the first time I went up there. The wild flowers look amazing!!! Still, a lot of lazy shooters not picking up their brass...sigh... Anyhow, here are a couple pics from my day out.

First time this ever happened to me...made a strange pfffffttttt sound.

    Fixed it for your, Steve.

Love that trail (and not just because I've helped clean it so many times). It's crazy how green everything is in the mountains.

The casing that cracked was some old .38 special my dad had in the gun safe. We were sighting in a Taurus .357 magnum and a (never fired) early 1990's Marlin 25N .22 rifle.
