Default Pole Hill/Johnny Park Road 7-10-10

Great time today. Andrew, Krista and Chris (Toyotaboy, or Young Chris) had fun on Pole Hill in the morning, then Andrew went to find a place for target practice, and Krista, Chris and I hopped over to Johnny Park Road for a tour of most of the spurs (yes, we were a might confused for a while), then the actual trail itself.

JPR took its toll: Chris knocked his muffler loose, I tweaked my gas tank skid into my rear drive shaft flange on a hidden rock between two other rocks in a large water/mud hole, and Krista learned she had a tranny/T-case skid when she left several grains of it on a rock. The rock took the most damage. Everything was taken care of with brute force, a BFH and a smile.

Krista, after running JPR two days in a row (and taking the harder lines today) is now qualified to lead the trail, and she must do it at least once this summer. And she had a big grin plastered on her face, except when she was scowling at me for suggesting a particular line.

I'll have some pics up in a bit.

Nice! I recognize some of that too I'm still working on the videos from yesterday. The Movie Edit is having issues, so I'm thinking I'll take a break now and resume tomorrow

News to me. I didn't realize that there were qualifications to lead any trail....Hopefully, you were being funny..

Looks like a good time. I am glad that the weather was nice! Where did that huge hole/mud pit come from?

I had an amazing time on both trails! I appreciate the one on one with Rob & Chris in the afternoon and the extra advice, patience, little tid-bits, knowledge & yes Rob giving me the extra boost of confidence and the little nudge to try a little harder lines Thanks ROB!

I finally get my computer back tonight, I also have some pics from the trail runs Friday & Sat to post.

Kubo - you're still my hero and I am mad braggin about you still ... Way cool!

Thanks again for all the fun - can't wait to see everyone on the next trail run!

Did you run 118A aka Button Rock at the camp ground end of Johnny Park?

Did anyone go through the mud hole on Pole Hill Road?

Nice Pics, it looked like a good time.

I will bet the Land Cruiser freed up a couple for Horse Powers by surgically removing that tank of a muffler on a rock.

I think Chris has that 62 on a crash weight-reduction diet. I kept waiting for the rear bumper to get knocked off, what with that long rear-end those rigs have. He's got a great attitude, though. He just yanked the muffler and pipe off, threw it in the back and soldiered on. After that, though, he got the attention of a few hikers who had to turn around and see what was coming.

Yep, sure looks like he's lost all the 62 parts.

I like that..."knocked the muffler loose"...yes, loose to the ground. Looks like everyone had a really good time, cool.

What did Rob find under his FJC?
