Default Jeep eating mud hole and fire on Pole Hill Road

Ran Pole Hill road again today with a buddy in a stock late-model 4Runner. Good views of the fire near Estes Park. Jeep eating mud hole on the lower loop. Also used my Sven Saw again to clear an Aspen that was half-way across the trail.

So did the hole eat your Jeep, or do you mean that in a general way?

That fire really took off today. I think they sent in actual crews Friday afternoon. The PIO up there also mentioned something about closures, though I didn't read the press release all that closely.

In general. It was deep. I creeped up to it and the front end dropped a looong way. I was scared I was going to get high centered as it was scraping bad.

Didn't get a pic of me in the mud hole. Sorry.

Was that at that intersection after the big meadow? Did it get patched up yet?

It's just down the road from the intersection. It's still there.

Too bad that it is too...looks like the surrounding terrain is getting pretty torn up.

I think all that was done by the gate cutters. Again, I hope they had to pay a hefty fine.

It's been mentioned elsewhere on the forum. It was also posted on the FS website.
