Re: March Anniversary Run - The Gulches (3/28)

The conditions were pretty bad yesterday, lots of snow still and deep ruts just getting to the Metberry trailhead.

The trail had even more snow, less traffic had driven on it, so we didn't push...

Yeah it is like being drafted. I commend her and all of the medical professions.
The exposure alone is enough to make me say nope, it just seems like a when, not if I would get it.

Me and another JK are going to do a conditions check on Metberry at noon today, probably take a look at Longwater as well.

    Re: The Gulches.... March 30th

From what I understand, leaving the trail and entering the water is causing faster erosion of the riverbank(s) than the rest of the trail.
Before they can say it's not the 4x4's causing it, the...

Re: Moab trip some time this spring

I've got a trip planned there June 8 - 12 (Monday through Friday) with another Jeeper bud, if you don't go in April or May, consider running it with us!

Will probably make a post about it 60 days...

    Re: Chokecherry Cayon

I've never heard of it before, now it's on the radar.

So many trails, too little time.

Being that far south I bet snow is much less of a factor.

Thanks for the bucket list additions!

Poll: Re: 2020 March Anniversary Run...

David, good to hear from ya! We are doing good out this way, a little bummed to see the snow just keeps coming. Seems like it's going to be September before trails like Mosquito pass are 100% open....

Re: Replacement key for my Jeep

$280 for me from Faricry, I only had a single key as well.

From what I understood it take's two keys to make programming a third one very cheap and anyone can do it, otherwise it's expensive. I...

I've had Predator do lots of work for me, all quality, but costly.

Great to hear good things about a new shop I've never heard of (Car Worx).
Will definitely add them to the top of my 'needa...

    Re: Utah, other than Moab?

Thanks man! I'm definitely getting one of those 'top o' the world' pics.

I had us set for a March trip but my sis said she'd rather it be warmer, so early mornings will be our friend.

Re: Holy Cross Saturday September 21st

I've been wanting to do this trail for a long time. It's 3.5 hours for me, maybe makes more sense to go up Friday night.

I'm tentative at this time, if I go, I'll have another JK on 35's with me.
