My MYP has 2 motors and 455 horsepower.. It’s a joke compared to the power my sons rivian has. My son’s rivian can beat a raptor in a drag race while towing 6000 lbs… The rivian towing.. the raptor...
Heat pump in mine. It did pretty darn well. We were completely comfortable on the road trip.
Since we are a 4x4 forum though, my son and I are going to do some Moab trails in April. Guess what his new 4x4 is :)
He picked it up Wednesday and drove to Trinidad on Thursday, charged in below...
Definitely less efficient in the cold though. I was averaging about 3.2 miles per kWh. Today it’s in the 50s here in TX (just like it is back at home) and I’m averaging about 4.1.
But I’m not...
I just drove from CO to TX in my Model Y Performance charging at below zero temperatures a few times. I’m sitting in TX right now telling you they do charge.
Some of you went wheeling with that kid back in the day when he was like 12… We still talk about Pete…
And my son got this one this week. Monster of a truck. If I wasn’t towing a camper, I’d have one too…
Got me one of these gladiator diesels… and one of these model y performances… so I can coal role myself :)
I love my wee beastie and e beastie combination. Taking e-beastie to Texas today.
It starts again… I bought a 2021 Gladiator Diesel Freedom edition (aka a sport s with stickers)…
added 35s, 20” wheels, Apex disconnects (which are awesome), Level, Bed cover, swing out tool...
Nice. Cool to see the new cherokees out there.
I have a JL 2 door. And I’ve owned a couple of JKUs. The JL is hands down a better vehicle. Ride quality is a 7 on a scale from CJ to WK2 for the JL where I would call the JK a 5.5. I’d say power is...
Yeah. I was almost awe struck..
And the carnage! Lots of machinations of jacks and moving tires from front to back.
Great day with lots of folks I hadn’t met before. Thanks all!
Random pics headed back...
Lunch at the top of Chihuahua Gulch...
The Bronco. I saw him coming right at me with that beautiful rig but by the time I stoped and got my phone out.. this is all I got.
At Chollo mine
Had a great time with Ty, Matt, Mark, Andy and all the families. My wife, Anna and friend, Dan was on the trip as well. This was Dan’s first off road trip and he had a blast!
We met at the...

Trails:
Im thinking 0, 1,2 and possibly 3 would be a good day. I could be talked into doing Santa Fe...
Sounds like a Peru creek are run on Sunday might have a 3-4 rig train? Anyone done these before want to suggest meeting place and / or trail sequence?
Im more of a fan and looking at cool stuff (mines, graveyards, ghost towns, etc) as opposed to just driving over big rocks.. but big rocks are cool too :)
I’m interested in doing a trail next Sunday. I’m up for anything 5ish or under... I’d love to do something I haven’t done before. Perhaps the Peru Creek area?
Although I’ve done them before, could...
