  1. Re: "Why Inclinometers Are Cool And Which Ones To Buy"

Agreed, I have flopped before but certainly wasn't looking at the gauge at the time to note what the tipping point was (my attention was demanded elsewhere). They do however provide some sense of...

    Re: Electric Classic Bronco

Being able to gear down that 400+ HP probably contributes to the survival of an old-school transfer case. I'm sure the motor could be controlled by a governor at different speeds, but keeping the...

Wow, no seat belt/harness or helmets for those guys. Love how the passenger leaned out of the Jeep to add more weight to the inside turn (help keep the Jeep from rolling over).

    Re: Gilpin County

I remember those days... Now days it's up and down S Havana St. (the "automotive mile"). But they only do it a few times a year, and some of the auto parts stores have BBQ stands setup.
  6. Re: Coronavirus-driven ban on mass gatherings voted down in Moab

I don't know about Texas, but do not press your luck in Arizona. I spent several hours in the rain watching the State Troopers with a K-9 search my Jeep and open/inspect every bit of camping gear...

I'm reminded of something I read the other day about what happened during the Spanish Flu outbreak. Gunnison County barricaded the roads at the county line (I'm sure there were fewer roads to...

    Re: "Front Range" defined

I believe the term "Valley Highway" stems from the Platte River Valley which runs along I-25 for much of the way through Denver.

I believe I have encountered the rotation issue on another forum that used the same platform as FR4x4 ("vBulletin" I think is the name?). IIRC, the problem is that Apple does not use the same method...

  16. Re: Coronavirus-driven ban on mass gatherings voted down in Moab

I was there a few years ago. Pretty good trails and close to Farmington if you want a hotel.
  20. Re: Electric car sales have now surpassed stickshift sales in the

I would expect this trend to continue. Millennials didn't learn cursive writing or how to drive stick... and automatics tend to be more profitable for the auto makers.
  21. Re: Bad Transfer Case Motor and Control Module - Expensive!

Only a grand? You got off easy... You couldn't pay me enough to drive one of the newer technomobiles. Resale value is going to be nearly zero on a lot of these rides.

Went to Sand Hollow for the first time last summer. It's pretty awesome!

Goblin Valley is a shorter distance from Moab and pretty cool but not the most extensive trail system.
