Love Lube-Locker gaskets. Been using them for a long time. Best part is they're reusable. Just be sure to clean them well before puting them back on.

    Re: Which Handheld GMRS?

I'll take a 50 watt mounted unit over a 5 watt hand held any day... Or maybe one of each?

    Re: Which Handheld GMRS?

Not really fond of hand held radios. You can get a lot more power from a mounted radio.

Just ran both trails last weekend and they were pretty clean... Should be an easy cleanup.

    Re: Forum "New Member" stats

Little Moab/Rainbow Falls is fairly moderate with options around most obstacals but it can be a little tight in the trees so I wouldn't take a full size truck if you care about the paint.

    Re: Forum "New Member" stats

I suspect the increasing popularity of side by sides (Razors etc...) may have something to do with this as well... I often encounter more of them on the trail than tradidional 4x4s.

Re: Recommended FRS & GMRS radios

One other thing to consider between those 2 radios you linked Jim is the difference in power. 15watt vs 40watt. People I've talked with recommend the more powerful version for use in the mountains....
