Back after 9 years
Hello!
Back in the late 90s/early 2000's, I had a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee (bone stock). Did a few trails back then...Metburry, Longwater, and Hacket. Also did a lot of trails in Moab with that Jeep.
Then in 2009, I had a VW Touareg and did Illinois Gulch, Long Hollow, and Missouri Gulch (with members from this forum - I actually found the thread from back in 2009 where we did that run, heh).
Fast forward to today - I now have a 2016 Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab 5.7 Hemi (bone stock). I know my Ram isn't exactly designed for off-roading, but I figured this will hold me over until next year. I have my sights set on a 2019 Ford Raptor. Again, I know it's not going to handle off-roading as well as a lot of other off-road designed vehicles (i.e. Jeep), but it should be able to hold it's own. It will do a heck of a lot better than the Ram I currently have.
Anyways - I live in the Monument/N. Colorado Springs area. I'm limited to the easy trails right now until I can get my dream truck next year.

I did a lot of wheeling in my 2017 Ram 1500 Rebel, although the Rebel is more off-road geared with skid plates and off road bumper. You should have some fun with it and the Raptor would be awesome, although I decided to buy an older Jeep Rubicon to keep from scratching and denting up my Ram (which I did a lot of already)

The Rebel is awesome! Love that truck! I'm sure that thing did well.

Welcome back! My husband sold his JKU and is planning on (gently) wheeling his '14 RAM. You're not alone!

Thanks! Is his Ram lifted? What trails has he done?

Re: Back after 9 years
After doing T33 Airplane crash I decided to get a Jeep ;). This route gave me two dents and some scratches. A lot of other trails have scratched my still new Ram up pretty good also and I wanted to do harder routes so got a TJ Rubicon!
Ive taken the Ram on a lot of easy to moderate trails though and most trails around here are fine with the Ram! MSV/Coney Flats, Switzerland trail, Pickle Gulch, Pole Hill, Bunce, Ironclads, Yankee Hill, Storm Mt, Rock creek....did some trails in Moab like Fins&Things, Gemini Bridges, Onion creek.... you will have fun!
heres me on T33 in the Ram
