That's a strange lookin roll bar system...
You can sand that rust right off, and the seats just need a little more duct tape and they'll be fine!

Blasphemy! That just needs a layer of clear coat to preserve the patina.
Clear coat might improve structural strength of the vehicle by 50% (body seems a tad questionable, I wonder what the frame is like)
All it needs is thousands of dollars and countless hours of labor.. If I had more time.

Rant: If you're going to extend the body, go the tad extra to "push back" the "door bump" (ala CJ-5 > CJ-7).
Remember these cj6s predate the cj7....they came with the cj5 style doors. Cj8 was the longer version of the cj7...it came with the cj7 door opening. I would love a lwb jeep....but this one is rough...one advantage of a cj6 over a cj8 is the shorter rear overhang. The cj6 wheelbase is a full 20 inches longer accommodating all the extra length in between the axles. I believe the cj8 added 10inches to the wheelbase and the additional length was in rear overhang. Some disadvantages as well.
The one in spiegs post is an early cj6...the one for sale is a later cj6 which is 3inches longer with amc engines etc.
