My wife and I (well I) decided to take a ride out to Dry St. Vrain on Saturday. We got a late start due to some errands and just the simple joys of two kids ;), so by the time we got to the trail it had been raining for what looked like a while already. I began up the trail but since we had our son with us we decided it was too muddy to ride alone. No room to immediately turn around, so I had to back my way out. Going smooth:thumb: and then I hit a soft patch of mud and slid into the ditch :frown:. The look on my wife's face was priceless. After she calmed down, it was decided that she would get out and guide me, to the best of her abilities, to get me out. She did a fantastic job :thumb:. I look forward to taking her on many more trips where she can spot me out of all kinds of trouble :lmao:.

I know it's a long shot but I need to find some tires on the cheap. Looking for 37x12.50-15, preferably a couple old style MTRs to replace the 2 that are getting real thin on my rig, but I know those are getting hard to find. Might also be interested in a set of another style, or even 35's, for a good price. So if anybody has somthing laying around or knows of some, please let me know.

TIA

This was on Chris's Jeep bucket list, and crossed off today. I even got to drive Kermit a little - and looked at Chris and said "You make me drive my Jeep, while you get THIS?!" Kermit is amazing (but so is Cracker). We met up with Bill, Linda, Molley and their son Nick in Georgetown. It took a minute to find parking for both rigs and trailers, but we got a great spot right by the road to the trail. Nick is 16, had never driven Molley on a trail - and drove 99% of Spring Creek and did AMAZING. Here's a phone video - Chris's compilation, and I'm working on (also phone) pix.

We took the trail to Georgetown out, and ate at Mothers. GREAT burgers (and grilled cheese) and we got to chat with the owner and his girlfriend (friends of Bill's and Linda's) and hear some lore from the area. The one story that piqued my interest, being someone who REALLY puckers relating to shelf roads (and holy crap, Rick, HOW did you do that in a full-size Dodge?) was one about a man and woman in a Jeep that were on the trail down to Georgetown - all shelf roads and switchbacks...and he put her in the driver seat, and was spotting her - and she drove off the cliff, and all the way down. Hundreds, if not a thousand, feet - to the bottom. Apparently this was just last year? Yikes.

hey guys I'm looking for a new transmission for my 95 4runner or a good shop to rebuild my current one. Right now it engages hard into all my gears but once it warms up it seems like it runs just fine. I took it to ram's transmission off 112th and irma, and they ran a few tests and told me that the pressure was around 30-50 and pulled a code off the truck telling me that the transmission was slipping and they told me that if I did a flush that it would totally wreck the transmission.

I've been wanting to post up a build thread for a while now, well it's going to be more of a picture story as i just wanted a place to compile the progress of my rig for easy sharing. I'm a bit reluctant to even do this as it will be the most Tech less ''build thread'' in the history of the interwebs. It's more of a mod of the day all at once:rolleyes: May add some tech later, but there are dozens of write up on all of these mods and am always willing to answer any questions.

The start
1998 2.7 31’s 3.10’s 120K miles. Unfortunately i didn't get ay pic’s until after the first few mods.

The first mods.
Front. ICON 2.5 coil overs, Camburg UCA, Rear. OME DAKAR leafs Wheeler shackles for a total of 3’’ of lift. 32’’ MTR’s

I scored a kick ass Addicted off road bumper at the 2010 anniversary run. Big thanks again to Scotty at a Addicted off road for donating it!!!!

Since i removed the original bumper i had to relocate the turn signals. I decided rather than zip tying them to the new tube bumper i would try to integrate them into the corner markers. This turned out to be quite easy. I just drilled a hole the same size as the bulb fixture in the corner marker then used a Dremel and made notches for the locking tabs.

Just start'n the thread.

Tom, Rob and I met at the Pole Hill trailhead at 9:30am today. Weather was on/off drizzly to light rain with low clouds. About 1/2 way through Pole Hill we started seeing snow, sometimes a good snowfall at times. Ground was starting to turn white in spots.

Rob then stirred the pot and said, you know Pierson Park is close... and then when we got off of that there was a Rock Creek is just up the road...

Overall, a nice day to be out. Overcast / rainy / snowy 98% of the day. Back down to Lyons - what's this blue sky?!

Now to download GPS info and start processing photos...

194 photos and 16 vid's to process - and I'm worn out from the ride today. Likely tomorrow aft before they get posted
